Founder: Jim LaRue, MBCP, CISSP
Jim LaRue is certified as a Master Business Continuity Professional. He is one of 45
professionals in the world with the highest level of certification in this industry. He
has been dedicated to business continuity and disaster recovery planning since
1990. During that time he has created hundreds of plans at over 100 different sites,
across a large number of industries. Jim has managed and participated in several actual
disaster response and recovery activations for various incidents including fires, floods,
civil insurrections, and computer system failures. He is the author of numerous articles
and manuals on contingency planning, and is a frequent speaker at symposiums
and workshops across the country. He is also an instructor for the Disaster
Recovery Institute International. Jim is also a Certified Information System Security
Professional.
Prior to forming Dreamcatcher Disaster Resilience, LLC Jim spent 3 years at
DaimlerChrysler’s Technical Computer Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan as
their engineering systems disaster recovery consultant. Previous to that he spent
12 years at EDS where he created and led a client/server disaster recovery
consultant group supporting customers nationwide.

Jim has a Bachelors of Science degree from Central Michigan University,
graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors.
Jim LaRue is a Native American of Ojibwe and Cree descent, is a tribal member
of the Remnant Nation of Indigenous Tribal Peoples, and a member of the
Native American Business Alliance.
